François Navarre's Cabin: By Benson J. Lossing, from page 354 of his Pictorial Fieldbook of War of 1812 set for reprint in 2000. François' cabin was used by Gen. Winchester as headquarters for the Battle of River Raisin in 1813. The volume also includes, on page 490, a Portrait of Peter Navarre whom Lossing met.
